The AVM Stainless Steel Penstock is the result of AVM’s expertise in cutting-edge valve technology, starting more than 5 decades ago.

Available in different stainless steel grades.

Various drive options are available: Manual handwheel (direct mounted or through gearbox), with electric or hydraulic/pneumatic actuator.

Sizes up to 1200 x 1200 mm for our light duty design, while 3000 x 3000 mm and larger is available for our heavy duty design.

On-Seating or Off-Seating:

When pressure pushes the gate towards the sealing surface, it is called On-Seating. When pressure pushes gate away from the sealing surface, it is called Off-Seating.

Assembly:

Penstocks can be assembled on wall surface or to side walls inside a channel. They can also be embedded in the concrete.

Weir Gates:

Ordinary Penstocks are opened upwards, while if a Penstock is opened downwards to achieve a controlled overflow, we call them Weir Gates.
